VB / SQL application needs addition

I have two VB programs that communicate with a SQL server. The first one inputs info about a part into the database, and the second one displays the info. There is a queue between the two computers / VB programs. The first computer enters info about part 1, then part 2, then part 3 etc. The other VB program has a next button so once they get done with part 1 they hit next, and it takes them to part 2. The problem is when the operator of the second terminal fails to use his computer for a while, and he gets 100’s of parts behind. He has to hit “next?? several times until he is caught up again. I need to add “catch up?? code that when activated will take him to the newest part in the database. I am attaching parts of the code. If you need more info I will post it.

All I need is a procedure written that when executed it will do the same thing as “cmdContinue_Click?? but instead of taking the user the next part it will take him to the newest part.

I have attached a Notepad file of some of the VB code.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
