Amplitude Reader The program that I need is kind of complicated, so it’s essential that you look at every single detail in the description here. If any other questions arise, please e-mail me as quickly as possible. As the title says, I need an Amplitude Reader in the most literal terms I can think of. It will have to be able to load both Microsoft Wave files and MPEG-Layer3 files as well. For an example of the kind of project this is, please take a look at the following reference before coding: [url removed, login to view] It’s important that you look at the above link to get a better idea as to what I am talking about. The idea behind this project is to make an animated character seemingly head-bang to the music you play. You will not have to worry about that. I will code it myself, what I am looking for is the numbers returned from reading the audio file that will make a believable head bang. Something else to keep in mind is that the numbers returned, the middle of that range is the head looking right at you. 0 would be the head looking down, using 24 as the maximum number (or the head all the way up) that would make 12 looking right at you. So you can imagine what the head would look like when in full motion. The only problem I have ever run across in trying to create my own was the animation looked horrid. The audio files returned erratic integers (12, 24, 1, 6, etc.), a way to fix this would develop some kind of math to level out the numbers rise and fall. More like an inertia effect, if the head rises it needs to fall back down again…all of course as the music is playing.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Microsoft Wave files and MPEG-Layer3 are to be supported with the function described above. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 4) Program should have all basic functions of a media player with the function described above. (Play, pause, stop, and load)

## Platform

I personally code in Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprise SP5. I would like to say the program can work on both Windows 9x and Windows NT platforms. But with past coding experiences, Windows 95 right our of the box is very hard to get it to do what you need, even after updating specific files. So only the following are what I really want supported. Windows 98 Windows Me Windows NT (Service Pack 6a) Windows 2000 Windows XP

Engineering Microsoft Music MySQL PHP Software Architecture Software Testing Visual Basic Windows Desktop
