Hello. This looks like a challenging project. I like it :) Please tell me this: DB is Microsoft SQL or MySQL? People get confused. Do you need to have access to have access to historical records all the time? I don't know how your system works, but I imagine it as a booking spa sessions. Then if that's the case you can get ride of historical data by moving it to a secondary table once the date is in the past. You should only care about present and upcoming dates. That will reduce drastically the amount of data to check on each query as it's clearly two separated actions to book a new session and to get reports from historical data. So most probably your application will need a database refactoring. In order to better assess this project I'll need to get a database schema dump. Also seeing the application working will be useful to know the uses and don't imagine them ;) Finally I'll request access to the source code, but not right now, I need to check DB first. Thank you.

Hi, 3.5 million rows of data can be huge and not too huge at the same time depending on how the queries are being fired and what indexes are being used. But anyways, I believe its always better to archive the data which is older than a year or so. This keeps the data to optimum level. We can set you up in different ways, one with a product + live data and one with product + archive data. Or we can lookup into the queries and the database and see if the data itself can be optimized Regards, Tarun
