I need a small shim application that would interface to the
DirectInput API in Windows, and would fake the presence of a joystick.
I have digital input coming from a USB port connected to a USB Data Acquisition Device. This data is in the form of counts from an encoder. I want WinXp to recognise these 4 inputs (encoders 1 thru 4) as one joystick with 4 axes.
