I believe much of the code and the logic can be used, if you do not mind that. This is the thing: ? Lawyers do contracts, certifications and other documents. ? Most of these carry legal fees, taxes, government stamps and other expenses. ? This is an expense calculator. Such fees and taxes are not always the same, but always have the same type of structure, which is incremental. ? It also gets updated from time to time, so it is important to think of a way to edit these values. There are different types of taxes. ? Each is either a percentage or a fixed amount, depending on the type of transaction. ? I will give you all fees and taxes. ? I need a system that can let me create a calculator for each different contract type. ? Users will then select one particular contract type, and fill up the amount of the contract. ? Upon processing the calculation, the system will display the different fees and taxes. I will give you a list of the taxes and how they are calculated. ? It is similar to this one: ? Very similar to that. ## Deliverables Every single contract, every transaction has a fee included. It is divided in two. Fees that will go directly to the notary, and costs, which include taxes, stamps and other. Not all contracts pay the same taxes. ? Not all contracts pay the same percentage. ? What we need is an administrator page that has a list of the different taxes and fees and can create calculators. ? The notaries will then use such calculators to make specific contract calculations. Taxes all work pretty much the same way. ? Fees are different. ? So let me start with fees: From 0 to 10.000.000 colones, the notary fee is 2% From 10 million to 15 million, the fee is 1.5% From 15 million to 30 million, it is 1.25% Over 30 million it is 1% So if we are going to sell a car, price is 40.000.000, the notary fee is: 0-10.000.000 = ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 200.000 10.000.001-15.000.000= 75.000 15.000.001-30.000.000=187.500 30.000.001-40.000.000=100.000 Total fee is ¢562.500- Certain contracts, however, carry a 50% deduction. ? You need to take this into consideration. ? There must be the option to 50% deduction in the legal fee. ---------------------------------------------------- Taxes are, and work, like this: Fiscal tax: 0 to 25.000 = 12.50 25.001 to 75.000 = 25 75.001 to 100.000 = 31.25 100.001 to 250.000= 62.50 200.001 to 500.000= 125 500.001 to 1.000.000=156.25 1.000.000 to 1.500.000= 312.50 more than 1.500.000= 625 This is just a selection criteria. ? In this case, amount is 40.000.000, which is over 1.500.000. ? Tax is 625. ============================= Municipal tax: 2 colones for every 1.000 or fraction.? So, if amount is 1000 then tax =2. If amount is 1.001 tax = 4. If amount is 2.525 tax = 6. ============================= Agriculture tax= 1 colon for every 1.000 or fraction. So, again, if amount is 1000 tax = 1 if amount is 1001 tax = 2 if amount is 10.001 tax = 11 =============================== Archive tax: less than 100.000 = 10 More than 100.000 = 20 =============================== the lawyers tax (NOT THE SAME AS THE NOTARY FEE) is always this: 0 - 250.000 = 0 250.001 to 1.000.000 = 1.000 1.000.001 to 5.000.000 = 2.000 5.000.001 to 10.000.000 = 3.000 10.000.001 to 50.000.000 = 5.000 more than 50.000.000 = 10.000 ============================ Transfer tax: 1.5% of value on property. 2.5% of value on vehicles ================================== Registry fee for PROPERTY: Minimum is 2.000 colones on Sales: ? 5 for every 1.000 colones on other contracts: 1 for every 1.000 colones ================================== Registry fee for VEHICLES on Sales: ? 5 colones for every 1.000 on value on other: 1 colon for every 1.000 on value. there are a few more in this line. ================================= The component is attached. ? I hope at least some code is useful. The idea then is that this code will have an administrator, in which I can create a calculator in which I can select and include which fees and taxes apply, and a public side, in which users can select a specific transaction, say, the sale of a car, and that will ask them for the amount of the sale, and calculate and display the fees and taxes for that transaction. This will be part of a Joomla component. ? You do not need to program that.
