I have a web-site and I need a table built in a MYSQL databse - the language to be used is PHP. The data table will contain approximately six or seven columns. Data will be entered into this table on a daily basis using a client tool. Two programs are also needed: 1) to display the latest day's data (over the weekend, it could be the previous Friday or the next Monday's predictions). Initially, this could be displayed as a simple list, with minimal formatting. Scrolling should be possible. 2) to retreive information from the data file based on user selections, as described below: date range a hard-coded drop-down list of geographical areas 1 a hard-coded drop-down list of geographical areas 2 a user-entered list of codes Any combination of the above four should work. The user should be able to download the retreived data (or the most up-to-date information) to Excel. Ideally, the data from the data table should not be deletable - it can be added or changed only (if this isn't possible, it's not a major problem).
