Custom Linux with Custom X

Linux w/built-in multi-user terminal svr based on Redhat's kernel & compatible with the info. in "platform" section. The boot scrn is img on top with the boot text on the bottom. Always load the OS in cmd line mode req. login. All except root, after login, load x-window. No LILO. Client would either be a browser, L100 Client, & standard Thin Client. Only X-Window is accessible remotely. Simultaneous remote multiple user connections. Installer that installs to CD img .ISO, USB memory, HD, and DiskOnChip. All ports in stealth mode, completely shut tight w/exception of the connections req. for the remote desktop web svr & terminal svr. Must use 128ssl min. security. All other connections must be denied. Only the bare required services. Must use standard manuf. video/audio/network drivers & compatible with USB memory sticks. “Root?? username must be renamed "m58technologies". A built-in user "m58admin". Both only locally accessible. Installer asks for codes for the two users. Must have cmd line & X-window interface. X main gui is a 36x36 button, with supplied img as button, on bottom right corner that opens a menu bar 200 pixels tall & fills the rest of the bottom & dock the desktop. Button must react to "windows" & “F12?? keys. The program menu on bar is one line scrollable from sideways, identical in look to MS Media Center's. The bar should slide out to the left, then back in, from next to the button. All settings in one scrn, only available for root -- including network settings (IP, mask, gateway, dns). X login scrn like XP welcome, but with 'supplied' background. Remote login uses the X login scrn. Localhost name = "M58REX". Port 1430 is automatically set for 320x300 video resolution. Used for Palm/Win CE connection through browser. Menu bar for this connection should be above the button. Port 1340 is either 800x600 (web's only), 1024x768, HD720p/i or HD1080p/I. Also a thin client by F12 at boot. Will send you a visual example. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4) All deliverables must be branded with Buyer's Company Name and Logo. 5) OS name and build name is to be "M58-REX" 6) From Setup screen, allow admin to change boot screen & login screen images; & text written for command line login 7) Must meet visual requirements based on visual example. Buyer will supply any image/background. 8) Must meet all requirements & compatibilities as described in description & platform information. 9) Must be free of advertising, adware, spy ware, virus, backdoors, coder hidden branding, and non-required services/software. ## Platform -Must run on Intel x86 based PCs. -Compatible with software written for RedHat Linux. -Remote multi-user client Connections to run on Internet Browsers using at minimum 128bit SSL (IE, Firefox, Netscape, Mobile IE *Windows CE, Blazer *Palm OS in 320x320) through built-in web-server on port 1340 for desktop remote connections, and port 1430 for palm/windows CE connections. -Remote multi-user client connections to run on Thin Clients (such as NComputing L100 PCExpanion and other standard thin clients) -Must run VMWARE virtual machines -Compatible with software compiled by RealBasic 2005 -Must be able to run live on CD, memory stick, HD, or DiskOnChip.
