Create a joomla sobi2 module for show entries on a styled googlemap V3

We used sobi2 component for Joomla 1.5 with a module ( "Geocategory module" ) that shows entries on a googlemap without any style (api v2). What we need is to create a new module that make the same things and can interact with sobi2 using a googlemap api V3, styled with a search bar overlapped for location and for entries. The module have to automatically point to user location, and have the possibilities to save preferred locations. thanks.
