Buyer wishes to commission a Macromedia Flash-based engine that enables them to easily create animated figure-labeling exercises from our digital art assets.
**Important:** No bid requests will be considered that do not address the project details specified in the attached document.
This will replace an engine previously built internally by J&B that is too labor-intensive to re-use easily. (see Existing Engine, in attachment.) The completed engine will import data from local ASCII text files (INI files hereafter). These data will include the Title of each figure labeling exercise, the file path to the image to be labeled (stored as an external graphic), the text of each label, and the coordinates that define the valid areas that the user can click for each label (“hot-spots?? hereafter.) The engine will include the ability for J&B to change some aspects of the appearance, by specifying colors in the INI file, and/or by including a customized “skin?? image for each Web site on which this engine is used.
## Deliverables
The deliverables for this project will include a completed SWF file, the Flash source code (FLA files), all original art, including PSD, EPS, and TIFF file with all layers included, any non-standard fonts used to create the final product, sample HTML page calling the Flash object, and 2 sample INI files. The method for specifying “hot-spot?? coordinates must be something that can be done outside of Flash, using either a third-party application or a tool created by the developer. All source-code, copyrights, and other rights for use will be owned by J&B. Developer will be prohibited from reselling the engine or derivatives to any Jones and Bartlett competitor. J&B must give written permission for any substantial source-code re-use by the developer in order to enforce this condition. There will be no limitations or licenses placed on J&B’s use of the final work.
