DBF Export Utility

We need a VB6 routine that will take a DBF data file (with NTX index file) and import this file into Microsoft Access 2000.

We simply need to import the file into the database. But, please examine the attached DB files very carefully. This may NOT be so easy. Access imports all data fine except two columns (ADI, SOYADI) which look like somehow encrypted, some meaningless characters. We couldn't understand the logic behind these columns. There may be a kind of relation.

Importing those two columns (ADI, SOYADI) is the primary goal of this project. These columns must be exported with the others into the correct rows in same table. (1 dbf - 1 table). There are some info in the ntx files about these columns. Perhaps, the ntx file may be used to match this info with the records in the dbf file. But records must exactly match. If you open the ntx file with a text editor, you can see that these fields are referenced with a function (?) named 'rcode'. Perhaps, this may give you a clue.

Attached DB files are just an example. There are other DB files with different structures. So, the logic of the routine should be clear and applicable to all files.

If you can succeed at importing those two columns, please send an example of the data in your replies.

Thanks

ProSky
