Hello
I have an AS/400 server , running an RPG legacy application.
I need to activate replication in such a way to have a DB2 8.1 database on an Intel PC,
I want the replication to be similar to Oracle Auditing .
Meaning when data changes on the AS/400 server the same data is added on the Intel PC DB2 database but without over writing the old data ! thus I can query the database based on a certain date , example , what was the customer account value 6 months ago ?
Or who changed the interest rate 2 days ago ?
The Replica would always have all the data up to date
but can go back in time to any date .
In summary : it is a question on how to
Replicate DB2 on AS/400 -- TO -- DB2 on Windows
With the addition of having Auditing turned on for all tables on the DB2 Windows
can you provide the tech support in order to achieve this ?
or can you point me in the right direction ?
any and ALL ideas or suggestions are welcome .
best regards,
Bob .
