I need an application written in c++ (visual studio 6.0) which communicate with a printer using the parallel port in the ECP mode. The application must use AllowIo to grant the application access to the ports under Windows XP. The application also must use PortTalk (A Windows NT I/O Port Device Driver). I can provide with a basic version of the program, which is functional, uses the PorTalk and AllowIo, and communicates with the printer using the parallel port but in the "simple" mode, not ECP. Here is some documentation: [url removed, login to view] The basic steps the application must follow would be: - negociation sequence - request for the ecp mode - sending data The application could use DMA and interruptions, but not necessarily. The interface should be simple: just a window with a textarea and a "Print" button. It should print the text from the textarea.

## Deliverables

(by working program it is understood that the application is able to print something on a printer) 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. 4). The code must be documented with explanations.
