Blue Sky Hi I have pretty much everything done you are asking. I did three different projects with BLE last year. One of the designs was based on CC2541 and was as small as 16mm in diameter (radio only), another one had a charger and a vib motor, radio and sensors. I did schematics, layout, prototyping, firmware and so on. If you are interested contact me on my account here (or [login to view URL] ad gmail com) and we can talk details. A can provide proving pictures. Regards, DSnejko P.S. All this work was protected with NDAs so I would need more info to talk to my customers.

Blue Sky Hi, I am an Electrical Engineer practicing for last 8 years in an R&D Organization. I have designed a number of products ranging from RF & Microwave circuits to digital circuits. i have experience in designing filters, couplers, LNAs, Amplifiers, antennas, sweep generators, function generators, VCOs, NCO and many more in the frequency range of DC to 2 GHz. i use ADS, HFSS, OrCAD, Eagle PCB and Altium for the design and development of the above mentioned products. I have designed circuits for Filters, Couplers, LNA, Amplifiers, Antennas, Bluetooth, WiFi, GSM, GPS, Sweep Generators, Function Generators, VCOs, NCOs, DDS, 555 timers, AM Modulators, Microcontrollers, EEPROM, Flash, Accelerometers, USB, RTC, Strain Guages, Opto-couplers etc. Talking about wrist watch circuits, i have designed pet trackers, GPS trackers, stress/strain guages, temp sensors, humidity sensors sharing data over bluetooth, WiFi, GSM, GPRS protocols for data to be displayed over smart phones. These devices had on board coin cell batteries and antennas. I am looking forward to discuss in detail. Regards

We cannot make a multilayer PCB on this budget also some of the component must have ultra small footprint, the assembly of which is impractical for one of a kind. The best size is 3cmx3cm using nRF8001 and a uC +vibrator USB batt-charger. Demo will be on Skype. The material can be sent on prepaid coupon to the courier by the customer

Blue Sky I am interested in your project posting. I have experience that fits your requirements. I have worked on bluetooth devices in the past and currently designing a Bluetooth v4.0 wearable device for a client in Florida, USA. The work involved in the current bluetooth device involves Schematic capture, layout, prototype assembly and micro-controller firmware development. There are specs that apply directly to what you need. i.e. Lithium-polymer battery charging, micro-controller based(Microchip), BLE and Smartphone interaction. Regarding Tools I have a workbench on my site, with 4 channel digital oscilloscope, DMM, Bench power supply, professional grade soldering station, component kits (SMT,TH), Micro-controller programmer, JTAG programmer and other tools needed to assemble and test prototypes. As far as communications skills, I speak fluent english. I did my Bachelors and Masters degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. I lived and worked there for 10 years. Now living in Buenos Aires, which has only 1 hour time difference with EST. I would like to learn more about the project, we can arrange a skype conference when needed. Regards, José

Blue Sky Hello, I see that you are from USA, and I know what's the price for a prototype board there. I am located in Bulgaria, here a prototype 2 layer PCB with size 110mm x 120mm is 20$, 30$ if you need it in the next 3 days. Considering this, I am in a good position to make rapid prototyping with very low expenses. Regarding my experience, it covers embedded development from Arduino through my custom boards, that can be seen in my portfolio up to high speed wireless hubs. Regarding BLE, I am aware of the standard protocols, and I have no problem using them. Regarding tests and proof of design: I can provide video of every stage of the development from breadboard prototype to finished board. Of course with proper documentation. Regarding parts choise: I would go with Atmel microcontrollers, simply because they are easy to use and fast to debug. If you wish other brands can be used, but time might vary. Regarding equipment for test: I have ready an to be used laboratory power supply, 50MHz oscilloscope, Atmel ICE debugger, Mastech multimeter. If more instruments are required as a student I can access almost any laboratory equipment even for for-profit purposes at very low rates (2-3 USD per hour per laboratory). If you require some more complex analyzes I can outsource them to local laboratories for relatively low prices (100-200 USD depending on tests required) If you have any questions, or you want to check my knowledge, simply contact me through Freelancer. Blue Sky I recently built a rechargeable device that communicate via Bluetooth with my Samsung Galaxy phone. So 60% of your project design is already ready with me. For your project: 1- I will use a separate low power Bluetooth module that will communicate serially with the microcontroller. 2- I will user a 32 bit microcontroller namely PIC32MX250F128D for the following reasons: a. This microcontroller contains a USB port, so I will add a USB based boot loader to allow you to upgrade the firmware of the device whenever you need by directly connecting the device to the PC USB. b. This microcontroller will be held in a sleep mode which will significantly improve the battery consumption. and it will be awaken by the Bluetooth module whenever is needed. c. The cost vs capabilities of the microcontroller will amaze you. typically 3.5 dollar /unit for +100. d. The size of this microcontroller is compatible with your requirements. - The cost effective MCP73831 IC will be used as a battery charger. - The device will be charged directly from the computer USB by using a regular mini USB cable. - depends on the battery selection a regulator or a boost-buck IC will be used to regulate the power from the battery so as to utilize as much as safely possible of the battery charge without compromising the battery life.

Blue Sky Small System with BTLE that can connect to the cellphone and send battery data will be designed. It will have separate module for the BTLE, microcontroller and BLTE Radio. LiPo charge and discharge circuit will be part of the microcontroller module itself. A small dc motor will be used as the haptic feedback device as required. For the software a web app that can run on Android and Mac OS and iOS will display the battery status and will have a button for the vibrate command. If you can provide more information on the exact application, the system can be designed for scalability. E.g. If you plan to add more complicated sensors like EKG etc in the future and move from Bluetooth LE to Wifi or maybe subGHz Modules, then the choice of hardware platform will vary. From 8Bit AVRs to 32Bit ARMs to Intel Edison, the possibilities are endless. I request the project manager to draft an appropriate SRS with possible expansion plans for the design. Thank.
