Add some features to an existing Android App

We have an existing Android Launcher App with a number of functions. One of the functions is playing Live TV channels from the internet. The channels are represented by Icons. When the user taps an Icon, the channel is played. The URL prefix of the channel determines how the channel is played back, i.e. with the Android media player, or some custom player.
What we need:
We want to add a function that Channel Icons can also point to websites. If a channel has a certain URL prefix, like "VOD://[url removed, login to view]" then the App should open a browser (within the app, with no browser controls visible) and open the page "[url removed, login to view]". The URL should not be visible to the user. After tapping the back button, the browser window should close and return to the Launcher app's main screen again.
The Android source code already has some basic function for VOD, in which the icon is labelled "VOD". But the browser function as described above is not yet there.
We will provide full Android source code to the Launcher App. The App runs on Android 4 devices, mostly media player boxes and/or Android HDMI sticks.Get free quotes for a project like this
