We are hiring a programmer to create the beginnings of an iPhone app to track automobile maintenance requirements. This is a very simplified version of the final product. If this is successful there will be follow up work immediately.
Requirements are as follows:
App opens to a list of vehicles organized alphabetically by manufacturer (e.g Chevy, Nissan, Honda, Fiat...) similar to the contacts app. There should be a navigation bar at the top with an edit button on the right, and a tab bar at the bottom with a plus sign on the right to allow adding vehicles. The edit button works like the edit in the mail app, giving the delete lock/unlock symbol by each item that when tapped brings up the delete option for that item.
If the plus sign is selected it takes the user to the add vehicle screen.
The add vehicle screen should have the following fields:
Make
Model
Year
Starting Mileage
Annual Mileage
Oil Change Interval
Tire Rotation Interval
Those fields should hold the following data:
Make - Text String
Model - Text String
Year - Number (4 Digit / e.g. 2004)
Starting Mileage - Number (6 Digit / e.g. 103,256)
Annual Mileage - Number (5 Digit / e.g. 15,000)
Oil Change Interval - Number (5 Digit / e.g. 7,500)
Tire Rotation Interval - Number (5 Digit / e.g. 15,000)
There should be a cancel and a save option on the navigation bar. They should both return you to the list of vehicles, with the save button saving the info, and the cancel discarding it.
Data should be stored so that it is persistent each time the app is closed and reopened.
Delivery will be a fully working x-code project.
Powerpoint mockup is available.
