Create a module within Magento for us to create profiles for our vendors

This is a relatively simple module. We'd like to be able to add vendors (manufacturers) to Magento and provide information about them. Sort of like a profile. This information will include a range of fields that we'll provide but will include text fields, multiple choice field, file upload and so on. The purpose of this is for us to be able to quickly view information about all of our vendors in the future. We currently record all of this info in ZohoCRM but it would be nice to have it in Magento. So its like a directory for our own use. No one else will access it but us. We'll need to create vendors, edit vendors and delete vendors. Ideally, the entry to do this will be called Vendors and will be under a new menu called Purchasing in Magento. These records should be searchable from the global search function in Magento. I will provide more information to all contractors of interest.
