We are a small business looking for someone with File Maker Server and File Maker Pro expertise to help us with our File Maker Databases. We use Apple Macs, SL 10.6.8, iPhones, iPads and we use Apple Mail, iCal and Address Book for our daily business administration. We would like to import our Contacts Data Base information from File Maker to our Apple Address Books. If possible, we would like this information synchronisation to be done automatically on a regular basis. We have attempted this in-house using Address Book Manipulator and have an existing licence to use this software, otherwise we are open to suggestions of using alternative software. This is only the first task of a much larger project we plan to undertake in the near future which will involve a major overhaul and integration of all our existing databases. This sounds like an interesting project. Although I haven't used ABM before, I've used similar plugins extensively. This one is pretty straight-forward and I think I could get it working fairly quickly. I have worked with Filemaker since it came out in 1984 and have many satisfied clients all over the world - including several in Australia. Please see the attached message for more information.

Hi. I've written something like this already. It's a combination of native FileMaker & AppleScript. I use it all the time to synchronise my Apple Address Book and a FileMaker contacts database I use. Of course because it's the Apple Address Book it also synchronises through iTunes to my iPhone and iPad. I think it's exactly what you're asking for and it can be synchronised automatically as often as you like. There is also a third party utitily that does this although setting it up is a little bit complex/tedious. I'd be happy to provide either solution to you for my bid.
