Project Description

I have setup a Local Network Repository Server on CentOS 7

On a client, I have setup a .repo file under /etc/yum/yum.repo.d and when trying to do yum update, I continue to get the following:

failure: repodata/[url removed, login to view] from localrepo: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

[url removed, login to view]: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404 - Not Found

Here is the client repo file under /etc/yum.repos.d titled [url removed, login to view]

[localrepo]

name=FrogFriends-Respository

baseurl=ftp://[url removed, login to view]

gpgcheck=0

enabled=1

Here is the server side repo file under /etc/yum.repos.d titled [url removed, login to view]

[LocalRepo]

name=FrogFriends-Respository

baseurl=file:///var/www/html/repos/centos/7/7

gpgcheck=0

enabled=1

I have disabled firewalld and Selinux on both server and client, and still continue to get the same error.

I am not sure what I am doing or what needs to be changed to fix this.

Your job will be to solve this issue, and then create a cron job on the server for synchronizing the local respositories.

After the issue is resolved, both machines will be disconnected from the internet, and I expect the client machine to be able to update itself utilizing my local yum repository.
