We are a start-up online menswear brand in need of an extremely knowledgeable and proficient copywriter, to write a creative gripping description for our products. For the initial project this would be limited to 8 products. Depending on the outcome, communication and project satisfaction we will decide whether to rehire for a second collection which is also another 8-10 products a high compelling level of English is off course essential. We will provide the basic factual information for each product, a format that is consistent but varied for each product is important. The description should be written in such a way that the copy grips the shopper to add the item to his or her cart due to its captivating and imaginative wording. The type of language used and the tone need to appeal to our target market and coincide with our brands identity. The description of each product has to be unique and written in a way so that it is SEO friendly therefore knowledge on Internet Marketing would be a requirement for the Freelancer chosen in regards to choosing the right keywords. We have compiled a list of words and phrases we wish to be ranked for against competitors and in general associated with our brand with these terms are searched on google. This needs to be reviewed by the Freelancer and the best advice given to us accordingly. The about us section/ brand story - background will also need to be reviewed and re written so that all the literature on the website is consistent. When writing product descriptions you need to know your product, your competition and your customer. Using keywords and action words in mind, you should always make sure that you answer the questions the shopper may have. The quality of the product should be described as a benefit for the buyer not as a dull fact. Example: "stain and water-resistant leather" can instead be "stain and water-resistant leather for durable and lasting wear". Those types of details make a big difference.
