I have created over 50 logos for various game developers outside freelancer. I would show them to you, but due to contracts, I prefer not to. here is the classic breakdown of logos- There are 3 logo types, which can be mixed and matched Classic logos are semirealistic like the NFL logo. Modern logos are more like the Google and freelancer logo, with vivid cuts and sudden color changes, often vector looking Stylized logos are letter based, like the Google and Adobe logos. these can be classic or modern, or mixed.
