I'm a psychotherapist working in private practice. I am looking for a logo which I will feel proud to use as a symbol for my work with clients. Essentially I want the logo to represent:- #Relationship ; with self and other #A journey; growth and transformation I have been conducting come of my own research and have decided I want the logo to be made of blues and greens. Id like the colours to be similar to the colours found in the ocean so not lime greens but more turquoise shades and not ice cold blues but warmer shades. I particularly like the metaphor of water. In therapy the ocean is symbolic of our unconscious thoughts and feelings that lie deep within us. Clients often describe feeling like they are riding "waves of emotion". In addition to this I like the concept of the ripple effect. It represents how when one person changes then it has a ripple effect on the environment and surrounding relationships. Finally as a result of my research I have come across a number of logos that cleverly use positive and negative space to represent two images in one. I wonder if there is a way to integrate the metaphor of way with the image of two figures in relationship, perhaps a parent and a child. Or reflection of an adults face with a childs face cleverly in the image too - to represent the inner child we all have within us. This is as far Ive got with my brainstorming of ideas. Ive hit a creative block so realy need a fresh pair of eyes to look at this and suggest how I can cleverly integrate some of these ideas into a simple yet effective logo.
