Diagram Illustrations

I am in need of some basic graphic design services to develop some diagrams for a report currently being prepared for publication. This project is for the first such diagram, which is mocked up in the attached PDF document. Additional diagrams will be required over the coming weeks, and I am hoping to identify someone who we can rely on to work with us. Regarding the immediate project, I have some ideas related to how this might be graphically presented, although am open to creative ideas and suggestions. A few general notes: 1) Color scheme is TBD (what is there now is just a placeholder) -- we will need at least two versions - one that can be reproduced in grayscale, and the other that can use full color. there may be a bit of back and forth needed to come up with the right color scheme (again, I am open to suggestions) 2) I have created the mockup in an oval shape, although envision that this might work better as a series of concentric circles. we may try it both ways. 3) The arrows are obviously clumsily drawn - I would like these substituted with some visually appealing block arrows that follow the contours of the circles. 4) The outer ring in the diagram consists of three discrete clusters of factors (peers/family/community; communication technology/media/pop culture; and schools/legal/community institutions) - I would like these three clusters to be graphically separated somehow, perhaps by using different shades or tones...... I also have this idea of the three sections being separated by "puzzle piece" dividers. Again, none of this is set in stone. I am hoping to find someone who has a strong sense of design and who can offer their own ideas re: fonts, shape or text effects, etc. The project should be delivered in Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop format, and should include both grayscale and full color versions.
