I believe product design is about helping people - the end user - and improving their day to day lives - in this case by giving them awesome merchandise of what they love. I have a lot of experience with product design, and a general understading of printing techniques used in manufacturing. I follow a structurized design process, and would start by aligning myself to the task in terms of the end goal, who the end user is and what they want, how i can potentially prototype the product, and what your company already does. So to get the best possible start, I would need further information about the job and your expectations. Then I get into ideating on design proposals using various brainstorm techniques, after which I choose which concepts to develop further. After developing the chosen concepts, I will pick final designs and finish then up. I expect to go through 3-5 of these loops in around 10 days.
