Build a Website

We're looking for a Web Developer to build a website that assigns students to company visits over a three day period. Here's how the process usually works: 1. Admin create a list of companies (with all relevant info incl. no. of spots available) - displayed in calendar view 2. Students submit a shortlist of the companies they are interested ranked in order of preference. 3. Matching algorithm runs. 4. Students are informed of their awarded companies. They can modify their shortlist to fill gaps or delete companies they don't want. 4. Algorithm runs a second and last time. 5. Students are informed of their final schedule, which gets synced with the exchange calendar. Organizers still have the ability to make manual modifications (e.g. change company presentation date/time or modify list of attending students). Changes should trigger and automated email to concerned participants. Back-end tools provided: - User login authentication management - Matching algorithm - CSS code from existing website - Wireframes - MVC brief incl. suggested information architeture Work to be done: - Build database - Code user and admin interfaces - Code interactions: add/edit//delete company, add/delete company from shortlist, rank of companies in shortlist, display schedule in calendar view, sync. final schedule with exchange. Your responsibilities: - Provide estimated budget - Provide a timeline - Perform a technical analysis of requirements - Produce a solid, detailed technical design - Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements Your qualifications: - Strong technical skills with experience in objet orientated programming - Good communication skills - Detail oriented - A complete profile - References or an established reputation on Freelancer preferred
