Hello, I am an expert in Excel based tool that utilize formulas and macros to generate results. I have created several quotation tools in Excel as you would see in my work history and have been highly rated for the quality work I do. For any quotation tool the most intuitive way is to have all the component prices as lists that can be edited by the user when the prices change. The next step is to have the quotation sheet itself which is able to pull the data from these lists through dropdowns (or macros) and allows to specify the quantity. Based on this information the final quote can be created in a print friendly format. If you could share the format you may already be using, I would be able to determine the best way to go about creating the supporting sheets that would make it very intuitive for you to generate the quotes.
