Hello,
I'm an experienced Python developer and I have worked with Excel, SCADA projects, sensors reading, databases, web programming, git and bitbucket.
I usually prefer building web interfaces for such projects so that the user can control the application using any device (PC, Mac, smartphone).
While Excel works OK for small data sets a proper database (such as Postgres, MySQL) is a lot more flexible and scalable.
If you want the GUI built for Windows 10 does this mean it would only run when your computer is on? What about using a VPS or a cheap Raspberry Pi to run the data collection and use the Windows PC to just view the data and control the parameters.
I noticed in the pymeasure docs that the Prologix adapter is exemplified using Linux (I have worked with it for many years).
If you could give me a few more details about the project I think together we can find the optimal solution.
Best wishes,
iticus
