ATTN: these specs are guidelines only, the final specs will be drafted with the help of the chosen coder We need to create a toolbar for our auctions website. The toolbar needs to have at least the following features: - once installed, the toolbar needs to be registered ( that is, the toolbar will generate a random 128 bits hash, then the user will be presented with a webpage where he should enter his username/password on our site, and upon authentication the hashcode will be stored into our database, hence enabling us to track down searches made from this toolbar to a specific user ). If the toolbar is not registered, it should clearly display "this toolbar is not registered" and allow users to register when they click that button, or "Registered to: xxx when registered" - searchbox: when a user enters a string and hits the search button the toolbar will open one of our search webpages ( by using GET or POST methods, sending the registered hash along with it as well, for user tracking purposes ) - number of bids currently available in user's account: the toolbar will poll a xml feed from our site from time to time ( probably using the https protocol ), and, after posting authentication credentials, will receive the current number of available bids in the xml, and it should display it on the toolbar - products currently on auction: the toolbar will poll a xml feed from our website, that contains current open auctions, along with some data ( product pictures, titles, status, etc. ). The toolbar should then toggle between these auctions and display them one after another . - hot auctions: the toolvbar will poll a xml feed from our website, that contains auctions that are just about to finish, along with some data ( see above ). See attached file for more details. (last 2 paragraphs of this spec) ## Deliverables 1) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No 3rd party components unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's Worker Legal Agreement). ## Platform Please see attached spec...
