Data Entry - Activity Listings

Using some automated scripts I pulled all of the listing categories from a website we are redesigning and put them into a spreadsheet. Having all the info broken up on one page should seriously speed up your job and make it a lot easier. I outlined all of the tasks below: Tabulate Data The script broke the data up but it did not necessarily put things in the right column. Please shuffle the data around so everything is in the correct column. Save Images Some of the listings included an image. In the spreadsheet these are just a link to the image on the current website. Please download each of these images to a folder without changing the filename. When you're done, zip all of those images and email them to me. Remove Prefixes Remove prefixes like Website: from the phone, fax, email and website columns. Simple leave behind the info in its simplest standardized form. Preferably, phone numbers would be uniform and not have spaces or parentheses, simply dashes. Alt# Field Move prefixes like Toll-Free: and Cell: to the back of the phone number like this: 406-250-1501 - Toll Free. Description Guideline Each time the automated script detected a new line on the original site it assumed this was a new item/column. However, some of the descriptions, used linebreaks inside of their description. This broke their description up into multiple columns. Please merge these descriptions into the one description column. Since spreadsheets don't accept linebreaks, instead of pressing enter on your keyboard to create a new line simply type two percentage characters %%. That way when I import this into the database I can simply find all of the percentage marks and automatically fix them. Subcategories Six of the categories: Activities Travel Info Community Building Services Yachts/Charters Health/Wellness Since my automated script was only able to break them up into categories please comb through each of the listings in those six categories and add a subcategory for them where applicable. Other Fields The Other fields are simply there if some data does not belong inside any of the columns. You might not need these.
