Hello Glorya13, I've worked in large statistical sets in the biomedical and epidemiological field and with huge numbers of projects in medical and other image and data analysis, even geographical data, financial and other time series, and lots of nonlinear dynamical systems in physics and neuroscience. I have an extensive experience in how to apply and interpret statistical, machine learning, data mining, pattern recognition etc. to real world problems. You can check out in my portfolio for selected numbers of scientific papers I've written. In addition I am myself a researcher so I am very used to problem sets and fresh data, and have a good experience in how to tweak and preprocess it to maximize information content while reduce unwarranted sources of errors. I am a very good teacher as well, so I believe it might be helpful for you to work together on this project. If you are interested in working with me, and need more information about how I approach problems, please provide some detailed info on the data, so that I can send you a data specific recommendation for this project. I work for $30-50/hour, but I am fast, and usually this type of single dataset problem can be solved and a report written within a few hours, less than a day. I am an expert in Matlab and machine learning techniques. Without seeing your data and what you are aiming to detect in the dataset, it's difficult for me to suggest which algorithm would be most appropriate. It is very likely that linking Matlab with some open-source software called "Weka" would save a lot of time. Weka is a widely used tool which has practically every machine learning technique already coded. I have linked Matlab to Weka before so I know this is possible. If you could provide a sample of your dataset I would be very interested to look at it. Best Regards Adam

Hi, I'm a computer scientist doing my PhD. I can do this, I have machine learning experience. I can use Decision trees or MLP or even SVM. I'm used to write reports and I have a lot of experience with matlab. I do all my projects in matlab and work in a company doing research in image processing using, again, matlab. I would use octave, but I will need more info about the data. What kind of analysis is required also? Regression? Clustering? SVM? I have expertise in most of them as I am a researcher in Robotics/Vision/Intelligence.
