Description of work:
1. Write a Coldfusion query using multiple tables, change tables if/or as required, re-do my current RSS feed to query all tables.
2. Have the capability to edit information in the tables using a Web form
3. Have the ability to delete an entire record using a Web Form
Current Conditions
I am writing an article about changing a static website into a Coldfusion dynamic site. I need to wrap it up and my schedule is just too jammed. I interviewed eBay a few years back and when IBM came in with WebSphere, the guy used the phrase, ”We wanted to learn to fish, not have IBM do the fishing.” So, I will require a brief instruction on how to do it, so that I can repeat the steps in my article. In return, I will include you in the piece.
In regards to #1 above, I have 2 databases currently, Articles and Round1. I need 2 additional tables in my current plan.
I thought that it would be more efficient to break my content into several tables. I have a "lead story position" on my front page and I'd like all content to appear there first. I need to query a headline, 1 photo, lead paragraph, caption, articleID, and type (of story). Several columns are the same, but not all.
Here is a list of the common columns and the additional ones that I need to be able to get the info.
Table 1 - Table2
ArticleID = RoundID
Image1 = Image1
Lead Para = Quote
Type = (can be added)
Head = (can be added)
Caption = FName + LName + Title + Company
Additionally, I would be better served breaking out "Caption" (in Article) to "FName + LName + Title + Company" (in Round1) as a standard. In other words I will need to alter my existing tables.
As far as the forms are concerned, #2 and #3, I can provide you with my insert forms but I would prefer you use Dreamweaver’s wizard to generate the code.
I would be able to knock this out in a day with rapid communication between both of us. What version of CF would you use? I have my Dreamweaver set at CF 7 but could code in CFMX or CF 5 if need be. I would comment all code and if you need any more explanation for your article "changing a static website into a Coldfusion dynamic site" i could give you any extra information you need. Macromedia Certified CFMX Developer ready to code for you.

I'm your man. I am a recent graduate, but I have been taking contracts for various companies in order to enhance my expertise. I am focusing on Coldfusion currently, and am employed with creating an MS SQL server-driven coldfusion site. I am very good with SQL, and can implement the inserts and table changes you require, and clearly outline the steps taken.
I am confident that I can complete the work within a week, and being new to the scene, I am flexible in my asking price. If you have any questions, please send me a PM.
I look forward to working with you. Thanks,
Nitin
