The product you will be working on is a business management web application. This is a mature product that is used in production since 2 years. Currently, the company has 1 developer. We are looking to add a second developer to speed up the software development and make our product even more successful.
The candidate needs to be experienced with both back-end and front-end web development using Microsoft's tools and technologies. Skills required:
- [url removed, login to view] MVC
- SQL Server
- Entity Framework
- Microsoft Azure (optional, preferred)
- HTML 5
- CSS 3
- Twitter Bootstrap (optional, preferred)
- Experience with Line Of Business (LOB) software is preferred
We would like to start with an hourly rate of $8. We might consider switching to a fixed monthly salary of $1,000/month later if the contractor proves that he is good for this position and we can see that he/she did boost the company productivity.
The candidate needs to be available for communication between 3 PM and 7 PM Mountain Time. Other than that, he/she can work anytime. We may be able to answer quick questions during the morning but we are generally very busy with customer support in the morning.
We would like to start with a few small test tasks. And based on the quality of the results, we will either continue working with the same person or look for someone else. I should note that our quality standards are pretty high. Please bid 7 hours/week @ $8/hour for the first test task. Any other bid means that you did not read the job description. This will be increased later to 30 or 40 hours/week after we are sure that we found the right person.
This is a long-term job. We need somebody who will be available and willing to work for months to come. We will invest a lot in training the candidate (explaining the business domain and project design). So we do not want somebody who will loose interest and leave soon after we start. You should be willing to work for at least 6 months for the same rate specified above.
Canadian candidates are preferred.
