I need someone to convert an existing C++ class which captures raw images from a video device (webcam, video capture card, etc.) in real time (every frame). I have used this class in my projects for about 8 years, and am just getting tired of crowbarring DirectShow into newer applications. Current issues are that Qedit.h is no longer included with directx sdk newer than Aug 2007. If you can also write a linux version there will be a bonus. Please don't change/add to the interface functions, as this needs to drop right into existing projects.

Hi, DirectX is a Microsoft technology that is designed Only for Microsoft Windows.(as far as I've known for 15 years). Now, as for your legacy DirectX version, you may want to consider writing a Windows 10 compatible C++ class that used WIndows Media Foundation, which is the DirectX equivalent, for WIndows 10. Once I know more about the DirectX function calls made by your legacy code, and which version of DirectX you are using in the older version, I may be able to assist you - to target Windows 10 (not Linux).
