i am a civil engineer and have been working with various buildings for the last 15 years. in my field of work i have to regularly measure various apartments and flats to give the accurate measurements. i draw the floor plans of these buildings in AutoCad and also show how to optimally utilize the available space. so this project is absolutely in my line of work. i am extremely interested to do the work. i don't know where the site will be since it is not mentioned in the proposal. so i would also like to contact with the employer to know further details of the work and whether the building concerned is a residential, commercial or any other type of building.

I am UK based with over 15 years experience of Space Management and Occupancy Space Planning. I would use my knowledge of Space Norms where I have used them to assess space needs, plan new space,and as a management tool to assist the allocations of space between users and departments. I have skills in both surveying and using AutoCAD and/or Revit to produce an optimum solution for you. I have worked in the Higher Education Sector where I managed 500,000m2 of space where cross charging of departmental space meant the best use of space had to be achieved. Utilisation surveys looked at usage and occupancy and compared this data with planned figures. In addition I have worked for CAFM software vendors and managed projects where areas are calculated including the breakdown of teams within larger areas when offices are open plan. I also have experience of working directly for Office furniture suppliers where I provided space planning drawings for them. Obviously we would need to discuss the logistics of the project like where it is and the exact size of the building and from this develop some project milestones so that you can keep a check on progress. I am available at short notice and could easily produce some existing and proposed plans for this project. This would enable you to see the gains in occupancy you could achieve from the new layouts.
