The university operates several satellite offices in suburban Maryland and Virginia and teaches online to students who live throughout the United States and many other countries. The university also operates smaller campuses in Doha, Qatar; London, England, and Nairobi, Kenya.
As the University’s Compensation and Benefits Director, you have been tasked by the Board of Directors to develop a new compensation and benefits system to assure compliance with U.S. federal, state and local laws – as well as sites located in other nations – and to recommend how best to position the organization to assure recruitment and retention of top talent, while adhering to the university’s social goals and operating in a cost-efficient manner.

As background, the university has approximately 10,000 employees. About 1/3 are university teachers and research faculty (tenure track, contract and adjunct), 1/3 are administrative staff (business/professional) and 1/3 are university services (facilities, public service, transportation, etc.).
