Here is your second homework. This time your task is to document gender-related features of speech. Your discussions will be based on your daily observations of men and women around you. Ask the following questions to yourself: In what ways do men and women talk differently? What words do men use when they address each other? What words do women use when they address each other? Is there a feminine style in talk? And, in the same way, is there a masculine style in talk? What are the features of these distinctive styles? Are there words that are preferred by only men or women? Are there words you would most likely to hear from a man rather than a woman, or vice versa? You need to support your claims with actual examples you collected. You are not supposed to write an essay. Please deal with each question separately. This is not a homework you can do overnight.
