Have you ever seen a ladybug with STRIPES? Or an orange one with black spots? Or even a completely black one? There are about 5,000 types of ladybugs and each one is different. But, they are all beetles. A beetle is an insect, NOT a bug. That is why we call ladybugs ladybeetles and ladybird beetles, too. They all have a tiny head, six short legs, wings, and two antennae with a little knob at the end. Their body has the shape of a dome and they can be anywhere from 2 to 10 millimeters long.
