Delivering a smoke free environment in an NHS Mental Health trust

I am applying for a job in an NHS mental health Trust to become their smoke free lead for all inpatient and community services. The roll is to meet the NICE guidelines “Smoking Cessation in Secondary Care: acute maternity and mental health”. These guidelines state all hospital sites, including mental health hospitals, should be 100% smoke free environments. Many other mental health trusts have already achieved smoke free status and I would like a report written of approximately 1500 words detailing as much evidence as possible about what has already worked, including any research on mental health service user’s experience of stopping smoking. Please include any evidence/research on NHS staff also stopping smoking and a full reference list. At the end of the report I would like ten main action points that the evidence suggests would be the most effective way to implement a smoke free environment. The report will be required by 10:00 Sunday 15th May 2016 GMT at the very latest.
