After reflecting on your readings from this week, recall a professional experience in which fear, stress, or both impacted a workplace experience in which you were involved, resulting in a negative outcome. Summarize the experience in a mini case study. Using the knowledge acquired from this week’s readings, write an analysis of the experience to evaluate why the outcome was negative. When that is completed, rewrite the mini case study, using what you have learned to alter your reactions in the scenario, so that the outcome is more positive in nature. Include the following:
• A mini case study of a negative workplace experience. (2-3 pages)
• An evaluation (2-3 pages) of:
- emotional focus,
- how fear was framed,
- the impact of stress,
- allostatic load,
- group stress response (if applicable),
- the stress cycle, including the stress-reward endorphin cycle (if applicable)
• The same mini case study, re-written to alter the negative aspect of the outcome by hypothetically applying what you have learned this week. (2-3 pages)
Length: 5 pages
Your finished work should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Review APA Form and Style.
