We just need to insert the venue metadata for the new inputs coming from our partner database (name, location, etc) and then keep updating the dates for which those inputs have inventory available.
Knowledge of Ruby on Rails and JSON required
The current database is PostgreSQL, in a rails app hosted on Heroku. There is nothing in place to pull in data from an external source. All of the venues we have are loaded in manually from the admin panel, same with a very simple weekly occurring scheduler.
CLIENT SIDE
I think the cleanest approach would be to load data from our partner to our database to show the same venue profile that's already in place. And when the venue had a custom id then after clicking the menu you would go into some custom view, different from manually entered venues (not from partner feed).
