I recently upgraded our site to Moodle 5.1 and since then the Lambda theme is misbehaving—visual elements are out of place and, more critically, the Dashboard and all course pages refuse to load properly. Other areas render as expected, so I’m convinced the issue sits inside the theme’s templates, CSS, or a stray JavaScript call rather than the core. I’ve ruled out obvious plugin conflicts and cache purges; the problem appears only when Lambda is active. Switching to Boost restores normal operation, which confirms it is a theme-specific fault. Before the candidate even starts, the page must request camera permission, show a brief consent notice, then take and store an initial snapshot. While the quiz is running, the script should capture images at a configurable interval and run face-detection logic that immediately raises alerts for four specific situations: no face, multiple faces, noticeable face movement, and any visible gadgets.
