We design and develop embedded and industrial electronic products for explosive atmospheres, from schematic through to production. We front-load IECEx, ATEX, HazLoc and related requirements from day one so certification is planned into the design, not bolted on at the end. We also manage the certification projects with the certification bodies and labs, and we build the quality management systems (IEC 80079-34 / ISO 9001) that keep certified products manufacturable and auditor-ready. Please note that we do not issue the certificates. We interpret the applicable standards, design the product to meet them, prepare the technical evidence, and work the path through testing and certification with the approved test labs. We also handle global market access planning: which country-specific requirements apply, and what pathway gets the product into those markets. Certification is not the end goal. Certified products shipping and generating revenue in the target markets is. I hold a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Stellenbosch University.
