Contest Brief

Etna Hardware Private Limited is a door and furniture hardware manufacturing company based out of South India. As an organisation we thrive on innovation and out of the box thinking. In this project we are seeking fresh ideas for door and cabinet handles in modern style.

The handles are manufactured using pressure die cast process using the ZAMAK material. In order to design a product which is fit for production, it is recommended that the designer is aware about the manufacturing process which includes the following steps:

1. Die Preparation
2. Casting
3. Turning
4. Polishing (Buffing)
5. Electroplating
6. Laquering

Current Trends:
The design trend is towards the minimalistic and modern style finished in Satin Nickel, Black Matt, Rose Gold and Antique.

Only entries for Cabinet Handles / Knobs will be considered.

Any designer who is found to be copying already existing designs will be barred from competing
