Contest Brief

I create custom food & drink serving boards (aka charcuterie boards) from domestic and exotic hardwoods and epoxy. this gives smaller pieces of wood, that may otherwise be discarded or burned, a second more decorative life. Every board is truly unique. Many are made from the same type of wood and epoxy pigment, but each epoxy swirl and wood grain is like a one of a kind fingerprint. I am a one-person shop that self-performs the build from concept to material selection to creating the blank, then refining it to a final shape and shine. Custom engraving personalizes each with my (future) logo / brand (cattle brand). My company is 'McCord Boards' I love the outdoors, yet want a sophisticated logo that commands respect and broadcasts Quality, Customization, Care in craftsmanship, and integrity. Looking for something simple yet easily recognizable, so at a glance one can tell it's a MCCORD BOARD! Tools used include molds, saws, sanders, planers, routers, and my cnc engraver. I am located in North Texas, USA, so a 'Lone Star' is fair game. I am very patriotic and stand for my Country and what the US Flag represents. I am a family man that loves working with my hands, loves animals, sports, and doing things for others. I need the logo to be clean for engraving, so too much detail could be problematic. I also do not want what everyone else has...a cheap logo from Vector Lab or another logo boilerplate. I look forward to seeing what you can come up with for me.
