Contest Brief
We are looking for property designs to feature in a funding brochure for a new “Sustainable Business”. (Background at the bottom of the post for those interested)
This employee owned business concept is focussed around the provision of dog related commercial services in order to fund the operation of a dog sanctuary on-site.
As such, we are looking for high level concept property designs to feature in the funding brochure.
The designs will ideally include:
Commercial area with doggy bakery and cafe, vets and hydrotherapy, general pet shop, groomers and daycare.
Sanctuary area with dog rescue and overnight kennels ideally set away from commercial area with grass/pond area between for walks.
Outdoor area with rentable secure fields, agility paddocks and lure/ball runs.
The site will be set with a rural area with surrounding grassland and forestry for walks.
However, please feel free to add your own thoughts and ideas - that is why we are running as as a competition.
Designs will need site view and street level view.
Please note these only need to be high level detail, as only concept at this point. We would welcome an unfinished/sketched feel to the designs.
Background
We are currently working on a concept for a Truly “Sustainable Business”.
In short an employee owned company, who’s profits are used to ensure all employees earn well above the living wage, whilst utilising profits to provide a service back to the community.
This concept is driven from the fact that modern businesses typically create a vast wealth divide between owners/employees. Whilst charities due to regulation can become onerous to operate, slow in making decisions and lack efficiency due to the lack of a profit motive.
As such, this concept is a simple one. It aligns the employee’s and community’s interest. The more successful the business, the more money the employees make and the more money available to give back to the community.
Ran like a true business but with the moral objectives of a charity.
