We have built a new type of dating app, for polyamorous dating, and we need a cool and exciting name for it.
Basically, it allows people to date many different individuals at once, in an open, honest, and ethical way. People can also date in "groups" or "teams", for example a couple or up to 5 people can join their profiles and create a group profile, and look for people to date as a group. This is actually more common than you'd think; in the US, for example, more than a fifth of people have engaged in consensual non-monogamy. We would like to bring this love and joy to more people, and help everyone to find a long-term family situation that fulfills their deepest desires!
It's a brave new world, and we want to communicate this. Our customers are younger millennials, typically university age or early 20s. We want a fun, exciting, chic and trendy name for our app that communicates what we are trying to do. We don't want anything that's about sex or love; we'd much rather have something that promotes fun and having fun. Too many of our competitors are about weird sex stuff, fetishes, etc., and that's not where we want to take it because it alienates "normal" people who are thinking about experimenting. We want to help people have some good, wholesome fun! And above all, we want something really trendy and modern. Kind of a neat made up app word, like these: https://businessnamegenerator.com/mobile-app-business-name-generator-ideas (see the "how to name your mobile app" section).
We have attached our logo. It is an "impossible" heart shape, designed to bend the mind and give the impression that our kind of love is new and different. Our app is necessarily more complex than a "normal" or traditional dating app, so we want everything about it to scream "new" and "different". We'd even love to have some shock value to the name that will make your grandmother blush!
Good luck, and we look forward to hearing your name ideas.
A few notes having seen some of the entries:
- we'd like to avoid the word "date"
- we are trying to bring polyamorous dating more out into the mainstream, so we'd like to avoid actually using the words "polyamorous" or "poly", to make it more accessible to people outside the current poly community
