Contest Brief

I am starting a business and I need some backgrounds created for some green screened photos. What I am doing is taking green screen photos of people in costume. They can then pick the background they like and I will put them in the picture. Then they can buy prints up to 11x17!

Because I want to offer as much customization as possible, I will need layered photoshop files with at least three different layers. Background, Mid-Ground and Foreground.

For example the background might be a blue sky with clouds, the mid-ground could be a castle in the distance, and the foreground is a rocky outcrop for the customer to be standing on.

Another example could be background is dense forest, mid-ground could be a few trees, foreground could be a mossy log for the customer to be sitting or standing on, and a second foreground could be grass to cover their feet if they are sitting to give it a more realistic look.

I am looking for multiple backgrounds, and I'm hoping there will be a certain degree of mixing and matching possible using the layers!

I need photoshop files, 300 dpi, 13.75 inches (or 4125 pixels) on one side and 17 inches (or 5100 pixels) on the other. When arranging the image please keep in mind that there may be up to 2.75 inches of clipping, so keep in mind the position of the customer!

The attached images show some very rough mockups. I made these mockups by cutting other images and pasting them together (because I'm not an artist) to give you an idea of what I'm looking for). There are also so images for inspiration.

I am also including a dropbox link that includes some of the images that are I like the style and/or content of. Also included is folder called 'photoshop files' it includes the photoshop files for each of the mockups I attached as well as a file that includes all the poses. As you create the background please use multiple of the poses to make sure that the background will work for a variety of customers!

When submitting work please submit with one of the poses included so I can see how it looks with a person in it. The final files should be as described above though. I am looking for multiple backgrounds. I will either be choosing multiple winners, or if one person stands out I will see if they are willing to do multiple commissions at this price point.

I am just starting my business. If it turns out to be successful I will need many, many more backgrounds and will have more money to pay. This is a chance to get in on the ground floor so to speak as I need more and make more I can pay more. Please let me know along with your submission if you would like to form an ongoing work relationship.

I will be selling these photos so I will be extremely particular on the quality. I will give feedback after you submit, please look out for it!

I added two photos to the description, 'What I'm looking for!' and 'What I'm looking for too!' to give everyone a better idea of what I'm looking for. The submissions should follow that format. A hand drawn/painted background with one of the poses provided photoshopped into the scene. Thanks!
