Contest Brief

SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
Winning this contest requires the creation of a two-sided 8.5” x 11” advertising brochure that will be printed on standard, white paper. This brochure will be used to advertise week-long summer youth camps targeted at middle school and high school students. The winning submission will be awarded $100, to be paid promptly at the completion of the project. There is a possibility (but no guarantee) that more than one design may be purchased should there be multiple designs of exemplary quality.

ABOUT GROW A GENERATION, LLC
Grow a Generation, LLC is a for-profit company that provides meaningful projects for game design, robotics, engineering, and leadership. The mission of the company is to help young people become digital storytellers, STEM athletes, and world changers. STEM education is concerned to teach Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics in an interdisciplinary way that emphasizes the application and real-world use of such concepts. The company’s mission stands out from other STEM related training by involving students in real-world problem solving, asking kids, teens, and young adults to begin making a change in the world by using the STEM tools to which they are being introduced. CONCERNING CONTENT
• The document should prominently foreground the following language: “STEM CAMPS: Don’t Wait to Discover Your Future!” This phrase should be the main attention grabber of the document.
• The document should prominently include the Grow a Generation, LLC logo
• The document should prominently display the dates of the camps. Camps will be held during the weeks of Jun 13 - 17 and June 27 – July 1.
• The document should include an email (drellen@growageneration.com) and the company website (www.growageneration.com).
• The document should include either the Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic logo or banner.
• The document should include the address of Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School. The school is located at 1617 Rte 228, Cranberry Twp.
• The document should note that a 10% multi-camp and multi-child discount is available.
• The document should include an easily scannable image of the QR CODE provided.
• The creator of the document needs to devise a compelling way of representing the details of the various classes that are being offered. There are two weeks of classes being offered. The first week runs from June 13 - 17. The second week of camps runs from June 27 – July 1. Although there are several classes that run all day, most of the classes run either in the morning or the afternoon only. The classes are concurrently being held for 3 different age groups: (a) Grades 3-5, (b) Grades 6-8, and (c) Grades 9-12. In total, there are 19 different offerings. The challenge is to come up with a way of displaying this information in an easily readable and non-confusing way. (NOTE: See ATTACHED FILE for further information about the schedule of classes offered.)

CONCERNING FORMAT
• This is to be a two-sided document.
• The document should utilize the accompanying Style Guide when devising a color scheme.
• This document should be scalable without distorting the image.
• The document should be layered so that we have the option of removing or rearranging images and utilizing them in different file formats.
• A final version of the document should be provided in psd format.
