After getting acquainted with this site I find it important to point out that I live in the United States and am fluent in English. That being said, even though I am fairly new to this site, my long writing career has been one of diversity and personal fulfillment. I won my first short story contest in elementary school, a school-wide essay contest in high school, and a Philosophy Department-wide essay contest at my university (at a college not even part of my major or studies!). My recent professional pursuits have included everything from short stories, to copy editing and writing web and print content, to successful grant writing for the non-profit of which I am a Director. I also operate and regularly update my personal blog. My other skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Adobe Photoshop and statistical software such as SPSS.
