I have a Wix website that I have been planning on using for my Medical school revision delivery, but I really don't have those skills and I realised that I am messing up by trying to do it all myself. I have lots of half completed articles, and a few completed articles that I want to be able to upload, but honestly I struggle to make it all work.
What I really need is someone who can update and tidy up the website, make it really easy for me to upload various articles and cheat sheets for people to be able to read, but have them all in sensible laid out areas. I would like the website to be far more intuitive for a random student to come along and be able to find what they want, open up one of my basic presentations or cheat sheets, find the revision question sheets that I have and in the future have personalised accounts for progress and be able to integrate youtube videos etc.
My friend and I are actually pretty decent teachers of medical students and a lot of the time we are asked for the stuff that we produce, and this was meant to be a portal for this and more. We want to be able to update content very easily without having to work it all out again every time, and to update the site when we develop new things without having to work out how to reformat everything taking 4 times as long as it took us to come up with the actual content. We want a site that can be useful now and grow in it's usefulness and eventually develop a whole revision service and solid informational hub for medics everywhere. We would also like to make money from it eventually, but for right now would just love to have something that we can be proud of.
The main thing that we are after, is something that is functional and awesome, we are however NHS employees and therefore a bit skint, currently. We are open to the possibility that we might not get everything that we want immediately on our budget so are open to suggestions that give us a frame work to do some stuff now and to incorporate the rest later.
