Hi: I have few doubts: 1- Will you be using volumetric weight for calculating shipping cost? 2- Are all zip codes within a city serviceable? I am asking this because sometimes a particular zip code in a city is not serviced by the shipping provider. 3 - Does shipping rate also depend on the type of material (documents or Product/commodities) shipped ? 4- Do you provide insurance for the items that you ship? 5- What is the criteria for providing discount to clients? Hello, A nice and simple user environment implemented as an Excel sheet can give you all the desired functionality. Using drop-down lists you will be able to select the origination /destination and zone, and enter the package weight and/or dimensions, while the code behind it will do automatically the calculations for the costs, possible discounts, and prices, as well as the comparison to the competitors. A button will allow you to make the final selection, and to preview the quote before saving it as a PDF, which then could be printed as a hard copy or send to the customer as attachment via email. Another button will allow you to make changes to the "database" records, that is, the table(s) of the wholesale costs, rates, destinations, competitors' rates, etc.. A few words about me: I'm developing VBA code for more than 15 years and I'm a trainer for Excel and VBA for 12+ years. I suggest: - destination, shipping rate, discounts, profit margin, competitor rates and other main topics are located in individual sheet so you easy can adjust values. - When making input for a quotation I suggest to create Userforms which gives you a nice user interface. - The data from each individual quotation can easily be stored internally in excel so you can retrieve it later if needed - Creating the the pdf-file should should also contain your company logo etc., and perhaps your TOC. - If you want a statistical module can be created. - To ensure no data are lost I suggest incorporation at backup module.
